Sipas Borrelit, kryeministri Kurti e ka refuzuar propozimin e kompromisit për shkak se ka insistuar në njohjen de facto nga Serbia para se të ndërmerret ndonjë veprim për krijimin e Asociacionit të komunave serbe.
“Fatkeqësisht, pas një takimi të gjatë, Kurti nuk ishte i gatshëm të vazhdojë me fillimin e procesit të krijimit të Asociacionit. Ai këmbënguli në formalizimin e njohjes de-facto si hap të parë. Duhet të them se Vuçiq e pranoi propozimin evropian për zbatimin e marrëveshjes. Ai erdhi me propozimin e tij, por e pranoi tonën. Ne u përpoqëm shumë, por për fat të keq nuk arritëm të kapërcejmë diferencat”, tha Borrell.
🇪🇺🇽🇰🇷🇸 The EU High Representative, Josep Borrell, has announced that the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia ended without success.
According to Borrell, PM Kurti refused the compromise proposal because he insisted on de facto recogniton by Serbia before any action being taken for the creation of Association of Serbian municipalities.
“Unfortunately, after a long meeting, Kurti was not ready to proceed with the start of the Association’s creation process. He insisted on formalizing de-facto recognition as a first step. I must say that Vucic accepted the European proposal for the implementation of the agreement. He came with his own proposal, but accepted ours. We tried hard, but unfortunately it was not possible to overcome the differences,” declared Borrell.
