Denmark’s Anja: “I feel so lucky to be here”

Anja has dreamt about participating in Eurovision Song Contest since she was 12 years old. Now, almost 10 years later, the dream has come true.

Denmark’s Anja grew up in a Danish household with Danish parents in Australia. She has spent a lot of time in Denmark and her sister lives there. “I feel so much closer to Denmark now, it’s been a dream of mine to represent them. I am lucky to be here,” says Anja.
This is not the first time that Anja has tried to enter the Eurovision Song Contest. Last year she came second in the national selection in Denmark. “I know how it feels to miss out. It makes it even more special for me to be here today, because I know it doesn’t come easy. You have to work for it.”
